The children’s home "Margarétka"
The children’s home was established on 1st January 2010. It is a home for 15 children placed in foster care families referred to as professional parents and they are placed into care by an order of the court or its preliminary order. The children’s home offers home for children up to 18 years of age, or maximum twenty-five.
All children have the right to grow up in a family. Unfortunately, there are a lot of children whose families do not want to or are not able to look after them and they need to be placed in a children’s home.
In addition to providing suitable living conditions for these children, our professional parents try to create a close relationship with them, approach them individually and give them love and security of a home and family.
We help the children to reunite with their birth families. However, if this is not possible, we try to match them with loving foster families or adoptive families.
This family-based care has a positive influence on the children. For instance, it results in less sickness absence at school and better school results.
We look for professional parents who are willing to become loving parents for these children and help them reach their full potential.
